Just Getting Older
02:49
|
|||
Now I don't want failure
Don't want success
Just want your arms around me and your head on my chest
And I want my life
I want your life, too
But someone's gotta wake up in the morning, and that's the truth
Look behind you, I'm not getting in the way
Look behind you
Look behind you
Just want you to hear me
And pass it around
Your friends are all nervous, I'll get the next round
Write a thousand pages
And one for you
But someone's gotta wake up in the morning, and that's the truth
Look behind you, I'm not getting in the way
Look behind you
Look behind you
I didn't end my life, I'm just getting older

Dripping With Salt
01:23
|
|||
Girls, girls, leave me alone
Just wanna get my baby on the telephone
You got no rhythm, and you got no soul
Say six words and I'm ready to go
Got Coronas in Corona, a couple hits of speed
Buzzed by Moreno Valley, couldn't find any weed
Really don't remember what happened then
Woke up when we got back on The 10
Now I'm dripping with salt at the Ace Hotel
Got coke in my brow, these dudes put some money on Pacquiao
Thought they were kidding till we hit the strip
Scotch and soda running over my lips
Got a number from a hooker
A winning view
Eighty-five dollars, and a Reagan tattoo
Really don't remember what happened then
Woke up when we got back on The 10
Now I'm dripping with salt at the Ace Hotel

Too Much To Fight It
03:31
|
|||
I can burn your letters, but I can't burn down New York
I can trash your pictures
Can't cut Virginia to the sea
It's long and it's dark, and it's a motherfucker X2
It's a real motherfucker X2
I gotta stop
I've held this long enough
I won't try to fight it, cuz we'll both be on our backs
It's long and it's dark, and it's a motherfucker X2
It's a real motherfucker X2
Used to be so brave before X4
It's long and it's dark, and it's a motherfucker X4
It's a real motherfucker X4
I swear it's too much to fight it X8

Diamond Eyes
02:32
|
|||
Just know I'll be put back together
With all of your pieces gone
I often wonder
Will you remember that bluebird in my heart?
Would you, baby?
Reflecting hands are a bow
To squeeze me
I still have diamond eyes
Beneath you
You weren't the only one who got a little lonely
And god damn, that's the truth
I often wonder
Will you remember that bluebird in my heart?
Would you, baby?
Reflecting hands are a bow
To squeeze me
I still have diamond eyes
Beneath you
You're always saying "goodbye," when I need you
You're always telling me lies, that I see through
You're always bleeding upstairs, but I bleed too
Come on darling, walk away now
